Shark Day Gallery Shark Recovery

On Shark Awareness Day, we went to Valencia Oceanogr à fics with marine biologist Andrea Spinelli, documentary producer Marco Spinelli, and content creator Dani Gallo to collaborate with the Marine Foundation to protect marine biodiversity. After the eggs hatch, the larvae are released back into the ocean.

This is our most exciting journey today to celebrate Shark Day. After arriving at the oldest marine protected area in Spain, Tabaca Island, we released 20 cat sharks to the sea and gave them a second life.

Sharks are the most caught species in the Mediterranean: in the past 50 years, the number of sharks in the region has decreased by 70%. Sharks at the top of the food chain are the foundation of marine ecosystems: their disappearance has led to serious imbalances, including the reduction of coral reefs.

Today, we would like to express our gratitude to organizations like the Valencia Marine Foundation, which have made valuable contributions to the recovery and care of sharks and have carried out important promotional activities to protect them.
